I think I first found out about KLBE at Jaya One. It was a very cool concept, and one that allowed me to keep reading books in a very affordable way.
I've not been able to go for the Taman Desa Book Exchange, but every time they have it (At Publika or Jaya One) I try to keep that weekend free. I've found so many gems, and I've always spoke highly about it to my friends. Unfortunately, the joy of reading is becoming more elusive to a lot of people...
I do hope that you continue KLBE and I hope to be able to support it for a long time. - Steph M Lim
Please continue the great work, Gladys! You are helping to lessen the environment's burden as well as our pockets...wink emoticon Hope you will carry on as long as you can!!! Thank you. - Sophie Yap
"One good turn deserves another" - applies to books as well! Thanx for saving the lives of all books out there. - Pearly Siah
I love what you are doing, Gladys. Thank you for all your effort. Since I found it, I am a staunch supporter. I have managed to read so many wonderful books and can't wait for the next exchange.Keep up the good work. - Hong Eng
Great initiative for the environment and for encouraging reading. And Gladys, your effort is appreciated! Thank you! - Monica Chew
Just want you to know that you're doing an awesome job with this book exchange. All out of your own time and passion, too. And you're not taking advantage of the books being exchanged here; i.e. not turning it into a business model. Sincere and unpretentious in your work and actions are what make you so easy to communicate with. For me, that is a very important factor. I've always look forward to the meet every month and try to attend, even though the location is not near to my place. Why? Because every time I am able to find some gems in the exchange. Books may be old and sometimes tattered, but they're of interest to me. I've said before, and I will say again- very often I find myself acting like a kid with a bagful of candies; can't wait to get home and devour all of them! Pardon the long post. Keep up the good work, Gladys. P/S: I may have a couple of suggestions to share with you; but let me organise my thoughts first ;) Have a good weekend. - Jessie Choo
